Learning to write an adjective poem.

 

I have been learning to use adjectives to add expression and detail to my writing. I found this activity easy because you had to make a plan with six adjective words and then put them into the poem and you could think of anything. My next step with using adjectives is to think of some trickier ones.

Learning to skip count to solve multiplication problems.

I have been learning to use skip counting to help me solve multiplication problems. I found this hard because they have five fingers on each hand and I got a little bit mixed up. I can use my counting in fives to help me. I am proud of trying my best. My next step with skip counting is to learn my multiplication facts.

I use a hook in my writing so people go wow and want to read my story.  For my story about my lava lamp I used onomatopoeia to make my reader interested.

                            I thought it was tricky because I did not understand.  My next thing I'm going to do is not talk to any body.  It want to think of good questions.

Learning to play the recorder.

I have been learning to play Mary Had a Little Lamb. I like playing the recorder because it's fun and I like doing Mary Had a Little Lamb and I like practising.

Learning to recognise and name 2D and 3D shapes.

Learning to use describing words.

I have been using describing words to write a diamante poem. 

I found it easy to write this because I remembered my describing words. I am proud of my poem as I worked very hard and I am proud of my describing words. My next step is to learn a lot more describing words.

It was easy. I read the book carefully and miss b.c gave us this sheet to help us. now I need to try this with some more books.

Learning to skip count in fives.

I have been using mathletics to help me learn to skip count in fives.

I know that I will choose 20 to go in the box because if I count on five from 15 I will get 20.


I like using mathletics because it helps my maths learning and I get quicker at counting numbers.
